UOM School Information The UOM School is a non-profit school for electrical linemen and technicians sponsored by the City of Garden City, Kansas Electric Cooperatives, Pioneer Electric Cooperative, and Wheatland Electric Cooperative. This school has been providing quality training for the past 37 years. Instructors from around the country share their expertise during the three-day event. 400 electrical linemen and technicians with varying levels of experience enjoy classes on a wide variety of Underground, Overhead, and Metering subjects. The school also provides more than 40 vendor displays to keep students well informed about the latest changes in technology. Displays range from underground radar equipment to bucket trucks to state of the art metering products. The 38th annual UOM School will be held February 7, 8, and 9, 2012. The $100.00 student fee includes choice of classes for all three days plus an evening banquet (Knights of Columbus - 205 N. 8th Street) with entertainment. |
